KENNESAW — Like two heavyweights, McEachern and Harrison traded blows into the third quarter.

But the final 18 minutes of the county rivals’ matchup at Cobleigh Stadium was all Indians.

McEachern scored the game’s final four touchdowns to ice a 48-21 victory and keep pace with archrival Hillgrove atop the Region 3AAAAAA standings.

Caleb Pittman Jr. scored touchdowns on runs of 33 and 43 yards and threw a 75-yarder to Jachal Hackney for McEachern (6-0, 3-0).

“(Harrison) did a great job scheming on defense, and so we had to go in and fix some things with our coverage on the back end and just get these guys on the ground — specifically the quarterback (Aiden Watson), who just did a great job for them,” McEachern coach Kareem Reid said.
