OVID TWP, Mich. (WILX) - The Ovid-Middlebury Fire Department has issued a temporary burn ban.

In a social media post , the Fire Department said the ban includes all open burning, such as brush piles and yard debris. Campfires, fire pits are also strongly discouraged.

Officials say that the ban will stay in effect until conditions improve.
