For less than $2, a Massachusetts casino player became a jackpot prize winner last month.

On Sept. 22, an Encore Boston Harbor player bet $1.76 on the slot machine game “88 Fortunes.” The jackpot prize was worth $27,859.18.

On the same day, another player bet $8 on the game “Mystery of the Lamp-Secret Bazzaar.” They also won a jackpot prize, which was worth $18,044.96.

The casino, which is located in Everett, has more than 2,700 slot machines and more than 175 table games.

Players must be 21 years or older.

In August, Encore Boston Harbor paid out $46,395,287.66 across 16,628 total jackpots, which was a record amount of payouts for the casino. This included 135 table game jackpots totaling $1,0298,528.92 and 16,490 slot jackpots totaling $45,350,462.21.
