LINCOLN, Neb. —

On Saturday at Memorial Stadium, with feels-like temperatures in the 90s, Mike Gaver knows what kind of calls to expect.

Gaver has been a volunteer with the American Red Cross First Aid Services Team on Husker gamedays for 30 years. You can find him and his wife, Lori, helping give medical assistance to fans every home game.

"This has been the hottest game as far as I know, so we'll just see what we get and go run around and see how they take care of themselves," Gaver said.

"The big thing that we're going to look for today is more of the heat-related issues, like we have the first few games. The first game, we had over 170 patient contacts. The second game, we had like 120. And now today, we don't know what we're at are going to see," volunteer coordinator Todd Shaplan
