According to reports from Dothan CBS affiliate WTVY's Ken Curtis and Rickey Stokes News , a driver of a car that allegedly struck a motorcycle on Thursday and killed the driver was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum confirmed the report to Curtis. Bynum told WTVY the driver may have been in the country illegally and had a detainer "related to a prior investigation."

ICE authorities took him to a Montgomery lockup, according to the report.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Christopher Dana Cote, 56, of Enterprise by Stokes.
