A violent thug was caught on CCTV repeatedly punching an unconscious man's head into a Stockton pavement. Kane McCallan's victim has never been identified but when the CCTV operative alerted police, the situation escalated on Wednesday, September 3 .

McCallan, 38, was under the influence of crack cocaine, and he attacked all three of the officers who tried to arrest him, Teesside Crown Court heard. McCallan started walking away from his unconscious victim on Hartington Road, and covered his face with a bandana, after a member of the public intervened.
