On the second to last week of the 2025 Assiniboia Downs live racing season, the two-year-olds were on display.

And for Omaha Warrior and Mighty Mikee, the week could not have gone any better.

This past Tuesday night, in the 96 th running of the $50,000 Winnipeg Futurity for the best two-year-old sprinters on the grounds, Omaha Warrior got a perfect ride from Antonio Whitehall to win a late duel with the filly Wecanonlyimagine to grab the $30,600 first prize.

Trained by Jared Brown (as was Wecanonlyimagine), the Kentucky-bred Omaha Warrior by Omaha Beach out of Arcina by Arch is owned by Bonnie McCrory and the legendary, 88-year-old former champion trainer Gary Danelson.
