After a fallen branch struck a father and son during a Frontier City roller coaster ride, leaving the son with critical neck and brain injuries in 2019, the lawsuit is moving forward with Jury selection on Monday.

Now 12-year-old Ben Wilson suffered from a broken neck, which then required multiple surgeries, and brain trauma due to the incident.

"I tried to brace and block it for my son," said father Ryan Wilson. "It ended up riding up my arm and hitting me in the face."

The family is suing Frontier City and it's parent company Six Flags, seeking more than $10,000 in damages according to state inspection records.

Concerns about the trees near the ride date as far back as 2016.
