A three-vehicle crash killed an Oxnard man and left at least one other man with major injuries on the Pacific Coast Highway over the weekend, officials say.

It happened on Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Ventura Area Office, on the PCH south of Point Magu.

CHP said calls came in around 10:08 p.m. reporting a traffic crash with multiple cars blocking highway lanes. First responders arrived to find an unresponsive 29-year-old man lying on the ground.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the 29-year-old Oxnard resident was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Elantra, heading northbound on the PCH when, for unknown reasons, he crossed over the double yellow lines and into oncoming traffic.
