The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has provided an update on Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments. These assessments are often required for people applying for the benefit, to determine their level of need and the amount they should receive. PIP is designed to support those with a long-term health condition or disability that affects their daily living or mobility.

The benefit includes both a lower and higher rate for the daily living and mobility components. You may not be eligible for one of these elements if your condition does not sufficiently impact you.
