Aberdeen roared back to life with their first victory of the Premiership season against Dundee, with Jesper Karlsson starring at a much happier Pittodrie .

Six games without a victory and a goal had soured the mood in the Granite City , but three goals in 11 minutes put the game to bed early, with Karlsson's penalty opening the scoring.

Adil Aouchiche and Emmanuel Gyamfi got their first goals for the Dons , and Karlsson's superb solo effort in the second half rounded off the rout, but Jimmy Thelin's side still remain bottom of the table ahead of the international break.

It was an emphatic way to end the drought of both goals and points, and it was the remedy needed for a side that has endured a miserable start to the season until this week.
