FOX has named a new broadcasting team for Sunday's NFL game in Indianapolis after Mark Sanchez's arrest.

Former NFL quarterback Sanchez, 38, was stabbed in an altercation Saturday.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment, where he is said to be in a stable condition.

The violent incident occurred around 12.30 am Saturday in downtown Indianapolis.

Sanchez was in the city to cover the Colts vs Las Vegas Raiders game on Fox.

After news of his injuries and arrest, ESPN insider Adam Schefter gave an update on the broadcast.

He posted, "The FOX broadcasting crew now calling Sunday’s Raiders-Colts game will be play-by-play announcer Chris Myers and analyst Brady Quinn."

Sanchez was due to be on the broadcast with Myers.

But he has been replaced by Quinn.
