MACON, Ga. — Shane Stewart spends his free time on 'pork patrol.'
In his backyard, Stewart shows two of his feral hog traps, and he is known in his neighborhood as the "hog hunter."
"Deer hunting is my relaxing, hog hunting is my adrenaline," Stewart said.
Stewart has been trapping feral hogs in his Macon neighborhood for about two years, after learning how to trap from YouTube videos.
"Watching YouTube videos on how to trap and learning, and now I'm helping other people with how to bait, how to get hogs in a trap when they don't go in a trap, what to do and things like that," Stewart said.
He said the animals were damaging neighbors' cars and digging up yards. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources said the animals carry diseases and can be a danger to small animals and humans
