The Seattle area will experience a respite from rain during the first full week of October, the National Weather Service predicts.
A warm front moving in from the Northeast Pacific will bring sunny skies and warmer temperatures into the area beginning Sunday, said Logan Howard, a meteorologist at the weather service in Seattle.
Sunday’s high will be 65 as the Mariners aim to recover from their game one playoff loss to the Detroit Tigers at T-Mobile Park. Monday and Tuesday will be even warmer, with highs of 69 and 70, according to the weather service.
“Temperatures will be a little bit above the average, but the fall is the time where we kind of go back and forth a little bit,” Howard said.
Don’t get too comfortable in the sunshine, though, because the rain will return later this week.
