Two people have been arrested in connection with a distraction theft and robbery that left an elderly man injured outside a Scarborough shopping plaza last month, police said.
Toronto police said in a news release Sunday that officers responded to a call for an assault in a shopping plaza in the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Pharmacy Avenue at around 4:20 p.m. on Sep. 16.
The two accused approached an elderly man while he was in his vehicle and offered him money and a watch, police said.
