A "PSYCHO-SOCIAL" plan for councillors dealing with abuse and community conflict is set to be endorsed by a regional council.
Glen Innes mayor Margot Davis said the psycho-social framework was designed to minimise "hostility, bullying and misinformation" in council forums and the community.
The move follows a war of words that erupted over a video posted on social media earlier this year in which a councillor appeared to call a colleague a c*** .
The video went viral and led Ms Davis to pen an open letter to the community, rebuking "the use of anonymous posts to attack individuals, twist facts and stir division, especially when those being targeted are people who have worked hard, often behind the scenes, to serve our community".
