A long line formed more than an hour before Dooley Funeral Home in Cranford opened its doors on Saturday for the wake of 17-year-old Isabella Rose Salas.
It was the second wake this week for the close-knit Union County community, which has been in mourning since Isabella and her friend, Maria Niotis, also 17, were killed in a hit-and-run on Monday. The alleged driver of the vehicle, Vincent P. Battiloro, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in what families of the victims say was a targeted attack.
