NEW ORLEANS — The man accused of fatally shooting Brennan’s sous chef during a carjacking died from a gunshot wound to the head on Friday, a NOPD spokesperson confirmed Sunday.
Morgan, a sous chef at Brennan’s, was shot Tuesday evening while waiting to pick up his young son. Police say 24-year-old Raymond Wells tried to carjack him, then fled in the stolen car before being found with a gunshot wound to the head.
New Orleans Police PIO Karen Boudrie confirmed Sunday that Wells died Friday at UMC of a gunshot wound to the head. Soon after the fatal carjacking, Wells was found shot inside a car in Metairie. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office will be performing a post-mortem examination, said Boudrie. The NOPD is still inves
