Four Scottish nationals were detained by Israeli forces after their flotilla carrying aid to Gaza was intercepted earlier this week. ‌

Jim Hickey, Saddaqat Khan, Margaret Pancetta and Yvonne Ridley were onboard vessels bound for Gaza when their journeys were interrupted on Thursday. The group were travelling as part of the Global Sumud Flotilla - made up of 50 vessels and hundreds of participants from 44 countries aiming to break Israel’s blockade on the Palestinian enclave. ‌

Activist Greta Thunberg was also among those travelling and footage has been shared on social media of her removal from a vessel . ‌
