One person is dead and several others were injured in separate weekend shootings in Tuscaloosa.

Around 11 p.m. Saturday, Tuscaloosa police responded to a report of a shooting in the 3400 block of Greensboro Avenue.

Arriving officers found Keeondray Sterling, 37, dead at the scene. Shortly after, Cordell Shepherd, 37, contacted the TPD and said he had shot Sterling.

After consulting with the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney's Office, Shepherd was charged with murder and booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he was being held without bond.

The shooting occurred in the same area where Autumn Mack was killed earlier this year, investigators said.
