EVANSTON, Ill. (Nebraska Athletics) - The Nebraska soccer team took only one shot on goal and fell, 3-0, to the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday afternoon in Evanston, Ill. The Huskers moved to 5-3-5 (0-3-3 Big Ten) on the season, while Northwestern improved to 5-2-6 (1-1-4 Big Ten).
Nebraska was at a disadvantage in shots (7-13), shots on goal (1-6) and corner kicks (6-7). The Big Red only logged three saves and was called for 19 fouls to Northwestern’s nine.
Carson Bohonek took a team-high three shots for the Huskers, while Ava Makovicka was responsible for Nebraska’s lone shot on target. Cece Villa (4-3-5) played all 90 minutes in goal and had two saves.
