PHILADELPHIA — The closing seconds of the Eagles ’ 21-17 loss to the Denver Broncos came under scrutiny from fans after a controversial no-call helped decide the game.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles were desperately pushing to avoid their first loss of the season. With nine seconds left, Philadelphia needed a touchdown from Denver’s 29-yard line. That’s when Hurts targeted tight end Dallas Goedert near the goal-line.

Hurts’ pass to Goedert, who was covered by a pair of defenders, fell incomplete. But there’s a case to be made that Denver’s JL Skinner interfered with Goedert as he went for the catch.

No flag was thrown. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni threw his arms up in frustration, pleading for a call, while fans at Lincoln Financial Field booed the referees mercilessly.
