LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - Passing showers will continue tonight wrapping around an area of low pressure that will move onshore. Temperatures will drop to near 70. Monday will see more rain chances around the area beginning in the morning. There will be plenty of breaks in the rain allowing temperatures to reach the upper 80s.
We are monitoring a disturbance in the Atlantic that will likely become our next named system. It will head to the west and then turn north of the Lesser Antilles as things stand now. We have plenty of time to keep watch on this system.
Locally, drier weather returns to the area beginning Tuesday. Temperatures will rise to near 90 through midweek before a weak, dry-air front settles south of the coast by Friday. There won't be much change in temperatures behind this f
