Much of Maryland is seeing fall color and some of the higher elevations of western Maryland have reached peak fall color, according to the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

According to the latest fall foliage report, the Eastern Shore is starting to see more vibrant yellows, oranges and reds while some areas in Western Maryland have already reached peak color.

More than half of the state is experiencing abnormally dry or drought conditions. Some trees changed color earlier than normal from stress, according to the DNR.
