BRIGHAM CITY — Jessica Kjar says she struggles to give her 6-year-old son answers as to why his grandmother was suddenly taken away.

"When I told my son, he said, 'She was my best friend,'" Kjar recalled.

Kjar's mother-in-law, 65-year-old Angie Kjar, was found in the street near the intersection of 850 South and 425 East in Brigham City just before 8 p.m. on Monday. Police said she later died at the scene from injuries that appear to be from a collision with a vehicle.
