After clashes broke out between two groups during Durga Puja immersion in Cuttack, Odisha, on Sunday, the situation has become tense. The administration imposed a curfew across the city from 10 PM. Internet services are suspended. Twenty-five people were injured in the violence, and six arrests have been made so far.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for a 12-hour bandh on Monday from morning to evening. A VHP spokesperson said the administration failed to ensure a peaceful immersion despite repeated requests.
