The hallowed halls of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) buzzed with quiet triumph in September. The audited Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) report for the institute’s flagship MBA-PGP (Masters of Business Management, Post Graduate Programme) Class of 2025 revealed a 100% placement rate, with 395 out of 406 students securing offers from 178 recruiters and the rest opting out of the placement process.

The mean salary soared to Rs 35.22 lakh per annum, with a median of Rs 34.53 lakh—marking a 6.8% year-on-year rebound from 2024’s dip. The mean salary had dipped to Rs 33.23 lakh in 2024 from Rs 34.45 lakh in 2023, even as the median salary in 2024 at Rs 32 had witnessed a marginal increase over Rs 31.58 lakh in 2023. The highest domestic package in 2025 hit Rs 1.
