The Election Commission of India is expected to announce the schedule for the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections today at 4 PM. The development follows a comprehensive two-day review of electoral preparedness in the state by ECI officials.

In the run-up to the elections, the poll body has introduced 17 new initiatives aimed at enhancing the electoral process. These measures include the implementation of webcasting at all polling stations, the use of colored photographs on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), and allowing voters to carry mobile phones up to the outer area of polling stations.
