SNY analyst and former Mets first baseman Keith Hernandez’s contract with the network is up after his 20th season calling games.
Hernandez told Mike Puma of the New York Post that he would like to continue in his role alongside analyst Ron Darling and play-by-play announcer Gary Cohen.
“My contract has run out, but I would love to continue in the booth,” he said to The Post. “I enjoy what I do.”
Hernandez has served as a game analyst for SNY since 2006, and has won three Emmy’s over the last 20 years. He signed a three-year contract to stay with the network before the 2023 season.
Over 17 MLB seasons , Hernandez won 11 Gold Gloves and two Silver Slugger Awards. He was a five-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion and the 1979 National League MVP.
