CAMP POINT, Ill. -- Both No. 1 ranked Camp Point Central and No. 8 ranked Brown County were going to find out what they were made of as the two Class 1 powers faced off on Friday night.

Central has dominated the Western Illinois Valley Conference North Division in recent years and were facing their toughest challenge of the season as Brown County looked to displace them from their perch as both teams were undefeated after the season's first five weeks.

"We know it's going to be a great game," said Panthers head coach Brad Dixon. "It's a great game when we're both not 5-0. The fact that it's homecoming and (Brown County) had been off to a great start just made it that much better of a atmosphere."
