Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday, October 6, inaugurated the first phase of the Patna Metro, officially launching the state's first-ever metro rail service between the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) and Bhoothnath station. The 3.6-km elevated stretch forms part of the Blue Line's priority corridor, ANI reported. The project, developed in partnership with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Government of Bihar has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 13,365 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid its foundation stone in February 2019.
