LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The race for Mitch McConnell's Senate seat now has another challenger.
Retired fighter pilot Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath has officially launched another Senate campaign.
McGrath, a Democrat, ran against McConnell five years ago and lost.
It was one of the most expensive Senate races in Kentucky history.
McConnell announced in February that he would not seek another term after more than 40 years on Capitol Hill.
McGrath joins a growing list of candidates on both sides of the aisle looking to fill that seat.
In the Democratic primary, McGrath will run against veteran and former CIA officer Joel Willett , U.S. Secret Service agent Logan Forsythe and state Rep. Pamela Stevenson of Louisville .
