According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, a 37-year-old man was stabbed to death in Akron over the weekend.

Police were called to the 300 block of Patterson Avenue around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday after reports of an altercation.

When they arrived, they found the man with a stab wound.

He was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital, where he died.

His identity has not been released.
