VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — A Valdosta mother is speaking out after her 2-year-old son was fatally attacked by two Rottweilers while in the care of an unlicensed daycare provider.

Police say 2-year-old Kaimir Jones, born September 18, 2023, was left unattended for more than two hours inside the home on October 4. According to investigators, daycare operator 48-year-old Stacy Wheller Cobb had fallen asleep, leaving the child unsupervised.

During that time, authorities believe Kaimir managed to exit the house and open a kennel, where two Rottweilers were kept. The dogs fatally attacked him before Cobb discovered what had happened.
