WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A Wichita man has died following a crash on Interstate 135. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that the crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. Monday in the northbound lanes of the highway at the north Hydraulic exit.
Troopers say Bradley Theis, 39, lost control of his Dodge Nitro as he was exiting the highway and left the road, entering the grassy triangle between the entrance and exit ramps at Hydraulic.
The car then went airborne and landed in the east ditch of the highway, where it rolled an unknown number of times. The car came to rest on its top after striking a light pole.
The KHP says Theis was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the troopers, he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. No one else was hurt.
