ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is providing an update on the city’s Anti-Displacement Tax Relief Fund program.
The affordable housing initiative provides relief to eligible senior homeowners with a greater risk of displacement because of rising property taxes.
Launched in 2024 and later expanded in May of this year, the initiative pays an increase in taxes above the homeowner’s base taxes for a period of 20 years, as long as they maintain eligibility.
To be eligible, you must:
Be a City of Atlanta homeowner since 2015
Be 60 years old or older
Have proof of home ownership
Have a household income of 60% AMI or below
Be enrolled in qualifying homestead exemption programs
