ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Hundreds in the Atlanta Jewish community gathered Sunday at an Atlanta synagogue for a time of reflection.
“It’s been a really difficult, anxiety ridden two years,” said Kate Kratovil, who identifies as Jewish and lives in Buckhead.
Tuesday marks the second anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks in the Middle East that triggered the war between Israel and Hamas.
“I think all of us feel this way, we want peace. We want peace for all involved in the region, all innocent people in the region, and that starts with the hostages coming home,” Kratovil said.
Peace talks have been continuous. Temporary ceasefires and hostage releases have occurred.
