ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - U.S. Rep. Mike Collins and Derek Dooley have both raised almost $2 million in their quests to become Georgia’s next United States senator.
On Monday, Collins’ campaign announced the middle Georgia congressman has raised $1,902,474. About $1 million was transferred over from Collins’ congressional campaign, leaving him with $2.4 million in cash on hand.
Dooley - who has never run for any political office before - announced a fundraising haul of just over $1.85 million raised, with $1.7 million cash on hand.
U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter, who is also seeking the GOP Senate nomination next year, has not released his fundraising numbers.
