NBC Sports has found its basketball equivalent to Carrie Underwood .

The company announced Monday that Lenny Kravitz will perform the introduction anthem music for Sunday Night Basketball, which will debut in February.

Kravitz, a four-time Grammy-winner , will have a unique show open for each week, similar to Underwood's role on Sunday Night Football .

“I have been a fan of basketball and the NBA since I was a kid,” Kravitz said in a press release. “I am happy to be invited to take part with NBC Sports and the NBA, and I celebrate their support of sports, music, and culture. I am looking forward to this special moment.”

The rock star has 12 studio albums with over 50 million copies sold worldwide, with hits like "Fly Away" and "American Woman" among his Grammy-winning songs.
