EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Two people have been arrested following a fire call Sunday in Evansville where firefighters discovered two kids living in a house in a horrible condition.

Evansville Police said 39-year-old Jonathan Slayton and 40-year-old Ashley Brock face neglect of a dependent, with Slayton also facing disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, and a warrant related to child support.

Evansville Fire Department arrived to a call at a home along Judson Street Sunday night. When they arrived, firefighters took care of a full fire inside the residence where two kids were home along while Slayton and Brock were out. Kids told police they were out "practicing flying a drone."
