Darbhanga, Oct 6 (UNI) All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi today announced that his party will contest four assembly seats in the Mithilanchal region of Bihar.

Addressing an election rally at Kumrauli village in the Jale constituency of Darbhanga district, Owaisi said that the AIMIM would contest from Darbhanga City, Jale, Keoti, and BISFI (Madhubani) assembly constituencies.

However, he did not reveal the names of the candidates.

Owaisi asserted that he was not in Bihar for himself, his son, or people from Hyderabad, but to raise his voice for the rights and representation of Bihar’s 19 percent Muslim population.

“We want more Muslim faces in the Assembly so that the issues of the Muslim community can be effectively raised and addressed,” he said.
