LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - On Monday, the Big 12 Conference announced that No. 9 Texas Tech will have a 3:00 p.m. kickoff on Oct. 18 against No. 21 Arizona State in Tempe, Arizona.

Television coverage will be provided nationally on FOX.

It will be only the sixth meeting all-time in the series between the two schools as Texas Tech leads 3-2 overall following last season’s victory in Lubbock.

The Red Raiders have won each of the last two meetings as Texas Tech closed a home-and-home non-conference agreement with the Sun Devils with a 52-45 victory early in the 2017 season.

This will be Texas Tech’s first visit to Tempe since falling to Arizona State in a 68-55 shootout in 2016.
