KENTUCKY – The Kroger Co. is issuing a voluntary recall of some pasta salads sold at its stores due to possible listeria contamination.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall affects the store’s Basil Pesto Bowtie Salad and Smoked Mozzarella Penne Salad.

Both products were sold multiple states, including Kentucky, Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and West Virginia.

FDA officials say this follows a recall by Fresh Creative Foods due to potential listeria of a pasta ingredient that was manufactured by Nate’s Fine Foods.
