WILTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 45-year-old man was arrested after allegedly admitting to consuming alcohol during a traffic stop in Wilton, police said.

Police said around 1:50 a.m. on Friday, they pulled over a Tesla Model 3, which was seen speeding northbound on Danbury Road.

The car was also seen driving through a red light at the intersection of Danbury Road and Westport Road, according to police.

Police said Armando Llaza, of Westport, looked like he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and he allegedly told police he consumed alcoholic beverages before driving. He also allegedly failed to perform the standardized field sobriety test to the standard.

He was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, and disobeying a traffic signal.
