Authorities have identified human remains found 12 years ago as belonging to a missing woman from Northern California.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office and DNA laboratory company Othram announced on Friday, Oct. 3, that the victim is Velma Louise Silva Lee, of Napa, who had not been heard from for many years.
