Fittingly titled “ Opalite ,” the shimmery track glows bright, much like the crystal it’s named after. It draws inspiration from the gemstone that isn’t found in nature but is instead man-made, a fun fact Swift herself admits to finding deeply metaphorical.

In the chorus, Swift reflects on resilience and renewal as she flexes her crystal knowledge by referencing both opalite and the dark gemstone onyx: “But my mama told me, ‘It’s alright / You were dancing through the lightning strikes / Sleepless in the onyx night / But now, the sky is opalite.’”
