FARIBAULT, Minn. — Faribault police detectives say they made a breakthrough on Friday evening, October 3, in a series of commercial burglaries that took place in September. Investigators say a search warrant executed at a residence on the 200 block of Wilson Avenue led to the recovery of stolen items, including musical instruments and construction materials, valued over $3,000. Paul William Brekkestran, 29, of Faribault, was arrested. He was allegedly found with a small bag containing one gram of suspected fentanyl. Brekkestran faces charges of Third-Degree Burglary, Felony Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Fifth-Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.
