MASON CITY, Iowa – The person accused of embezzling over $40,000 from a North Iowa Credit union has pleaded guilty.

Casey Dameron Servantez, 45 of Mason City, has pleaded guilty to first-degree theft. A sentencing hearing is now scheduled for December 15 in Cerro Gordo County District court.

Law enforcement says Servantez cut numerous checks from escrow accounts at CENT Credit Union while working there between May 2023 and January 2025. Investigators say Servantez stole roughly $42,957 for her own personal use.
