VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Columbus Day is coming up on Oct. 13th and the federal government and other services will be closed.

That includes the United States Postal Service. According to a news release, retail services as well as mail delivery to street ot P.O. Box addresses will be shuttered on Columbus Day. The only mail being delivered will be that marked as Priority Mail Express. All services will resume the next day, but the USPS reminds the public that if they need postal services, they can use the self-service Kiosk at select post offices, which can handle 80% of transactions that would be handled at the counter.

The city of Vincennes also confirmed in a news release that all city government offices will be closed on Columbus Day. Residents should know that recycling services
