ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Rockingham County Economic Development has appointed Morgan McKinney as its new assistant project manager.

In the role, McKinney will support business recruitment, expansion, and retention efforts while assisting with project management, community engagement, and workforce development initiatives across the county.

A Reidsville native, McKinney joined the department in August 2024 under a Golden LEAF Foundation–funded position focused on workforce development. Officials said her success in building partnerships, organizing events, and raising awareness of countywide workforce efforts led to her new appointment.
